CC Switch Provider Config
CC Switch with gw-link: Switch Providers, Keys and Models in One Click
CC Switch is a desktop app that manages configuration for AI coding tools such as Claude Code and Codex and switches between providers in one click. The gw-link API Keys page has a built-in Import to CCS button that writes the key and base URL into CC Switch for you.
One-click import
On the gw-link API Keys page, click Import to CCS to push the provider config into CC Switch via the ccswitch:// protocol.
Multiple endpoints and keys
Save gw-link.com and gw-link.ai, or keys from different groups, as separate providers and switch as needed.
No hand-edited files
CC Switch rewrites ~/.claude/settings.json and the files under ~/.codex, so you don't edit them by hand.
Setup
- Install the CC Switch desktop app.
- In the gw-link console, open API Keys and click Import to CCS on the key you want.
- If no import dialog appears, add a provider in CC Switch manually with the config below.
- Enable the provider in CC Switch, then reopen Claude Code or Codex.
Configuration examples
Manual Claude Code provider
A CC Switch Claude Code provider is the env block of settings.json.
{
"env": {
"ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL": "https://gw-link.com",
"ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN": "sk-your-gw-link-key",
"CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_NONESSENTIAL_TRAFFIC": "1"
}
}Manual Codex provider (config.toml)
model_provider = "OpenAI"
model = "gpt-5.5"
review_model = "gpt-5.5"
disable_response_storage = true
[model_providers.OpenAI]
name = "OpenAI"
base_url = "https://gw-link.com/v1"
wire_api = "responses"
requires_openai_auth = trueFAQ
Is CC Switch a model?
No. It's a configuration manager that switches between providers, keys and model settings; model calls still go through gw-link.
Import to CCS does nothing — why?
CC Switch isn't installed or the ccswitch:// handler isn't registered. Install it and retry, or add the provider manually.
Can I keep both endpoints?
Yes. Create one provider with https://gw-link.com and another with https://gw-link.ai, then switch when your network changes.
